Managing the Aude for Slack App

Removing Aude for Slack From a Channel

Aude allows you to customize which channels it analyzes for performance management insights. If you no longer want Aude to include a specific channel in its evaluations, you can easily remove it from the app's purview. Here's how to do it:

  1. Open the Aude.ai App: In your Slack workspace, navigate to the Apps section in the left sidebar. Click on "Aude.ai" to open the app's interface.

  2. Locate the Channel Management Section: Once in the Aude.ai app, you'll see a section titled "Channels where Aude is active:" This list shows all the channels currently being analyzed by Aude.

  3. Identify the Channel to Remove: In the list of active channels, find the channel you wish to remove from Aude's analysis.

  4. Remove the Channel: You'll see a "Remove" button next to each channel name. Click this button for the channel you want to exclude from Aude's performance management evaluations.

  5. Confirmation: The channel will be immediately removed from the list of active channels. There's no additional confirmation step, so be sure you want to remove the channel before clicking.

  6. Add Channels (Optional): If you want to add a new channel to replace the one you've removed, you can use the "Select a channel to add Aude:" dropdown menu at the bottom of the channel list.

Removing a channel means Aude will no longer collect or analyze data from that channel for performance insights. This can be useful if the channel contains non-work-related discussions or if you want to exclude certain types of communication from performance evaluations.

You can add or remove channels at any time, allowing you to fine-tune which areas of your Slack workspace contribute to Aude's insights and recommendations.

Manually Adding Aude to a Slack Channel

While Aude may be active in several channels by default, you can easily expand its reach by manually adding more channels to its analysis. This allows you to customize which areas of your Slack workspace contribute to Aude's performance management insights. Here's how to add a channel:

  1. Access the Aude.ai App: In your Slack workspace, navigate to the Apps section in the left sidebar and click "Aude.ai" to open the app's interface.

  2. Locate the Channel Management Section: In the Aude.ai app interface, scroll down to the bottom of the "Channels where Aude is active:" list.

  3. Find the Add Channel Option: You'll see a dropdown menu labeled "Select a channel to add Aude:"

  4. Select a Channel: Click on the dropdown menu to see a list of available channels in your workspace that Aude is not currently analyzing.

  5. Choose the Desired Channel: From the dropdown list, select the channel you want to add to Aude's analysis.

  6. Confirm Addition: Aude will automatically be added once you select a channel. The newly added channel should appear in the "Channels where Aude is active:" list above.

  7. Verify Addition: You can confirm that Aude has been successfully added by checking if the new channel appears in the active channels list with a "Remove" button next to it.
