If you encounter any issues during the installation or configuration process, please refer to the Troubleshooting section of this documentation or contact Aude support for assistance.

Access Permissions

The Aude for Confluence app requires certain permissions within your instance to function properly and provide performance insights. These permissions allow Aude to access and analyze relevant data while ensuring the security and privacy of your information. The following permissions are necessary for the Aude app:

  1. Read user: This permission allows Aude to access user information, such as user names, email addresses, and Confluence user IDs. Aude uses this data to properly attribute actions and metrics to the correct individuals. The app does not access or store any sensitive personal information.

  2. Read Confluence content summary: Aude needs access to the summary information of Confluence pages, blogs, and other content types. This permission enables the app to analyze the overall structure and organization of your team's technical documentation without accessing the full content of each page.

  3. Read Confluence space summary: This permission allows Aude to access summary information about Confluence spaces, such as space names, descriptions, and permissions. It helps the app understand the structure and organization of your team's collaboration spaces.

  4. Search Confluence content and space summaries: Aude requires permission to search through Confluence content and space summaries to identify relevant information for performance analysis. This includes searching for keywords, tags, and other metadata associated with pages and spaces.

  5. View space details: This permission enables Aude to access detailed information about Confluence spaces, such as space permissions, user roles, and space settings. It helps the app understand each space's access controls and user roles.

  6. View pages: Aude needs permission to view the full content of Confluence pages to perform an in-depth analysis of the quality, relevance, and impact of the technical documentation created by your engineers.

  7. View and download content attachments: This permission allows Aude to view and download attachments associated with Confluence pages, such as images, documents, and other files. It enables the app to analyze the completeness and effectiveness of the documentation.

  8. Share data with 1 domain outside of Atlassian: Aude requires permission to securely share Confluence data with its own domain to perform analysis and generate performance insights. This data sharing is limited to the specific domain Aude uses and is subject to strict data protection and confidentiality measures.

Rest assured that Aude follows best practices for data security and privacy. All data accessed by the app is treated confidentially and is not shared with any third parties. Aude complies with relevant data protection regulations, such as GDPR and CCPA, and maintains robust security measures to protect your information.

If you have any concerns or questions about the permissions required by the Aude app, please get in touch with our support team for further clarification.
