Connect Your Jira Instance to Aude

The Aude for Jira app enables performance tracking from your Jira activity. As an early access integration, installation requires a few manual steps.

Step 1: Install the Aude for Jira App

The Aude for Jira app is currently in early access and unavailable in the Atlassian Marketplace. Your Aude Customer Success Manager will provide you with a URL to our Aude for Jira app to begin the installation process.

Review and Accept Permissions

  1. Review the permissions required by the Aude app on the app details page.

  2. The app will request access to specific Jira data and functionalities, such as reading issue data, accessing user information, and commenting on issues.

  3. If you agree with the permissions, click the "Get app" button.

Install the Aude App

  1. After clicking "Get app," you'll be prompted to log in to your Jira Marketplace account. If you don't have an account, you can create one now.

  1. Choose the Jira instance where you want to install the app and click "Continue."

  2. Once logged in, confirm the installation by selecting the "Install" button.

  3. Review the subscription details, then click "Confirm" to install.

  4. The installation process may take a few moments. Once completed, you'll see a confirmation message.

If you encounter any issues during the installation or configuration process, please refer to the Troubleshooting section of this documentation or contact Aude support for assistance.

Access Permissions

The Aude app requires specific permissions within your Jira instance to function properly and provide performance insights. These permissions allow Aude to access and analyze relevant data while ensuring the security and privacy of your information. The following permissions are necessary for the Aude app:

  1. View Jira issue data: This permission allows Aude to read and analyze data from Jira issues, including issue details, comments, and attachments. Aude uses this data to generate performance metrics, identify trends, and provide insights into individual and team performance. The app does not modify or delete data.

  2. View user profiles: Aude needs access to user profile information to attribute actions and metrics to the correct individuals properly. This includes user names, email addresses, and Jira user IDs. Aude does not access or store any sensitive personal information.

  3. View active user profile: This permission enables Aude to identify active users within Jira and ensure that performance data is accurately mapped to the right individuals. It allows the app to distinguish between active and inactive users, providing a more precise team performance analysis.

  4. Access and interact as logged-in user from outside of Atlassian: To seamlessly integrate with Aude's external platform, the app requires permission to access and interact with Jira data as a logged-in user outside the Atlassian ecosystem. This allows Aude to sync data securely and provide a unified user experience across platforms.

  5. Access and interact from outside of Atlassian: This permission allows Aude to communicate with its external servers and perform necessary operations, such as data synchronization and analysis. All data transmitted between Jira and Aude's servers is encrypted and handled in compliance with industry security standards.

  6. Share data with 1 domain outside of Atlassian: Aude needs permission to securely share Jira data with its own domain to perform analysis and generate performance insights. This data sharing is limited to the specific domain Aude uses and is subject to strict data protection and confidentiality measures.

Rest assured that Aude follows best practices for data security and privacy. All data accessed by the app is treated confidentially and is not shared with any third parties. Aude complies with relevant data protection regulations, such as GDPR and CCPA, and maintains robust security measures to protect your information.

If you have any concerns or questions about the permissions required by the Aude app, please get in touch with our support team for further clarification.

Step 2: Connect to Your Aude Account

After installing the app, you'll need your Jira workspace URL to complete the connection:

  1. Your workspace URL is the main domain name (example: audeai.atlassian.net)

  2. Enter this workspace URL in the Jira Workspace URL field

  3. Click "Submit"

Your installation status will be displayed below, showing when the app was last installed and providing an uninstall option if needed.

Enter this site ID in Aude:
